Energy Monday talk series invite you for an interesting Energy Monday Movie Night – a screening of the documentary “The Breakthrough in Renewable Energy”!

• What could “the breakthrough in renewable energy” imply for the future of global energy consumption?
• What are the main factors that determine the use of alternative energy?

Traditionally alternative energy sources have not been competitive with the fossil fuels. However, nowadays with the progress in research, development, and production, the renewable technologies are approaching a point of maturity, thus becoming competitive!

One good example to look at is China: the latest investments in solar and wind energy production have reduced their costs by 80 and 50 % respectively. This raises the question of when other countries will embrace this trend?

It is free and open for everybody! After the screening there is room for discussion.
